Washtech
Washtech is the largest manufacturer of commercial wash machines in Australasia. The company was founded in 1981 by Des and Gary Brent in Auckland, New Zealand, when they released their first machine – an undercounter dishwasher under the STARLINE brand.
Subsequently the product range was extended to include glasswashers, all types of commercial dishwashers, potwashers and industrial washing machines
In 1989 Washtech entered the Australian market and established a base in Brisbane from which to distribute product under the WASHTECH brand.
In 1993 Washtech gained ISO 9001 certification which it has maintained ever since. In recent years ISO audits have been conducted by international group BVQI – confirming that Washtech complies fully with this prestigious standard.
In September 2000 Washtech was acquired by the ALI group, following their acquisition of Moffat, and Washtech product is now distributed in Australia by Moffat.
The ALI group, based in Milan, Italy, is one of the largest foodservice equipment groups in the world with brands such as Aladdin, Burlodge, Carpigiani, Champion and Dawson to name a few.
